SUMMARY:Discover Hidden Wines from France
DESCRIPTION:Picture that charming little bistro in a tucked-away French village whose name you can’t quite remember—the one with the unforgettable local cheese and wine. This is that wine. \nMary Taylor Wines partners with small growers in villages throughout the French and Italian countryside\, importing their wines in limited quantities. Each bottle captures a sense of place and the character of the region it comes from\, evoking memories of a favorite European adventure. \nJoin us on Thursday\, June 25\, from 4:00–6:00 PM for a delightful summer wine tasting featuring distinctive French wines sourced from these small towns and villages. \nOur tasting will begin with a refreshing Touraine Rosé from the Loire Valley\, followed by three crisp and elegant whites: a Chenonceaux Sauvignon Blanc\, an Anjou Blanc\, and a Bordeaux Blanc. We’ll conclude with a rich and expressive Bordeaux Rouge. \nCome discover exceptional wines\, remarkable value\, and the stories behind the regions that inspire \nAs always\, the tasting is complimentary\, relaxed\, and the perfect excuse to spend a summer afternoon in the harbor. We look forward to sharing these wonderful wines with you. \nMake a night of it in Sunapee Harbor by using the tasting as a starting point to finish at Wildwood Smokehouse\, the Blue Canoe\, Fenton’s or Hoptimystic.\nhttps://sunapeecellarandpantry.com/discover-hidden-wines-from-france-june-25-4-6-pm/

SUMMARY:Mapping Water Quality Data for Community Action: Highlights from the work of Burkehaven Fellow Alyssa Spencer
DESCRIPTION:Since joining LSPA as a Burkehaven Fellow in 2025\, Alyssa Spencer has transformed important water quality data into tools and resources that have been instrumental in the success of projects aimed at improving water quality throughout the Lake Sunapee Watershed. Her work has included mapping septic failure data\, modeling water quality risks in the watershed\, and creating a new water quality database to analyze and visualize LSPA’s 40 years of water quality data. Her work beautifully communicates key messages about science in a way that is intuitive and engaging for audiences. We hope you will join us to hear more about her work\, and how it has enhanced our ability to use our data to inform our community and our actions. \nClick here to register.
