SUNAPEE COMMUNITY POWER
An information session about Sunapee Community Power will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm, at the Lake Sunapee Protective Association, Center for Lake Studies, 63 Main Street in Sunapee Harbor.
The Sunapee Energy Aggregation Committee invites residents to drop in and bring their questions. Committee members will be available to explain the town’s Community Power plan and its benefits.
The Sunapee Community Power initiative (Warrant Article 31) goes to Sunapee voters in March. Town Meeting voting is on Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
Authorized by NH RSA 53-E, Community Power enables municipalities to procure electric power on behalf of residents and businesses. Community Power seeks to offer ratepayers competitive electric supply rates and potential savings through economies of scale. Community Power also helps expand consumer choice, including a menu of renewable options when selecting electric supply.
