The New England Bluegrass Band is, simply put, a high caliber, tradition based Bluegrass music ensemble with an emphasis on powerful vocals with just the right instrumental backing and hot picking. Led by founding member Cecil Abels, the members of the band are both familiar faces and old friends. The New England Bluegrass Band will make their 8th appearance here since their own TPB debut in 2000. The band has been a regional institution for years, playing traditional bluegrass with hot picking and powerful vocals. The band has featured many of the top musicians in the area at one time or another and they never disappoint. They are the recipients of the Seacoast Favorite Bluegrass Band Award from Spotlight Magazine, and are well renowned in New England for providing a solid, entertaining bluegrass experience.

Bob Skinner’s Ski & Sport Shop is our generous sponsor for this event. They have been serving Mt. Sunapee skiers for nearly half a century – almost as long as the ski area itself has existed! Owned and managed since 1985 by long time Newport local and former U.S. Ski Team racer Frank MacConnell, Bob Skinner’s Ski and Sport carries the region’s most extensive line of ski gear.
The Winter Activities Program has been a staple of our students’ experience for over fifty years! All students choose to participate in an activity that catches their interest. This year’s activities include skiing and snowboarding at Mt. Sunapee, winter sports, horsemanship, karate, theater, STEM, LSPA, and arts & crafts. The program’s successes would not be without the support of our generous community and partnerships with local businesses. Monies raised by this event will go to offset the families costs of participating in this amazing program.
