Intermediate Stained Glass: Thanksgiving Pumpkin Luminary
Welcome your guests with a warm, glowing pumpkin luminary this Thanksgiving! In this intermediate workshop at Riverside Artist Studio in Sunapee Harbor, you’ll create a stained glass pumpkin luminary, about 8″ x 10″, featuring a classic barn quilt star at its center. It’s perfect for your Thanksgiving table, entryway, or mantel.
During this hands-on class, you’ll build on your stained glass skills as you work from a pattern with more pieces and curves, including cutting and grinding the rounded pumpkin sections, fitting the star design, foiling, and soldering your piece together. You’ll choose your own glass colors, from classic harvest orange to creamy white pumpkins, and finish your luminary so it stands on its own.
Place a flameless candle behind your finished pumpkin and watch the colors glow, perfect for setting the mood at dinner and enjoying all season long.
Some previous stained glass experience is recommended. All materials, tools, and instruction are included. Come spend a cozy autumn afternoon in the studio and leave with a handcrafted luminary ready for your holiday table!
