Home for Thanksgiving break? Grab a friend and spend an afternoon making something beautiful! In this beginner-friendly workshop at Riverside Artist Studio in Sunapee Harbor, you’ll create a piece of simple, modern fine silver jewelry, such as a stacking ring or a sleek bangle, that you’ll love wearing every day.
During this hands-on class, you’ll learn the basics of silversmithing, including measuring and cutting silver wire, shaping and forming your piece, soldering it closed, and finishing it with a polished or hammered texture. With guided instruction every step of the way, you’ll learn techniques you can use to create more minimal jewelry of your own.
Make something for yourself, or surprise the one cooking Thanksgiving dinner with a handmade thank-you. No previous jewelry-making experience is necessary.
